Move to Nyangani?

[edit]

The correct name in current and official usage is Nyangani, without the initial I. This is the official term, as used "on maps and road signs" as well as being correct Shona, the language from which the name originates.(Babakathy 01:41, 29 July 2007 (UTC))[reply]

The article for Bvumba Mountains uses the official term, not the older "Vumba".Babakathy 15:13, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. How do we change the title to Nyangani? It needs doing. (In case anyone is interested, the name Inyangani is from how Europeans (settlers? missionaries?) first spelt it from the Shona pronounciation. Ian 19:15, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Done on the above basis.Babakathy 01:26, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pronunciation

[edit]

I have removed the reference to pronunciation since the correct pronunciation of Nyangani is Nyangani, not Inyangani, thus no pronunciation guide is needed(Babakathy 01:43, 29 July 2007 (UTC)).[reply]

Good! We need to change the title to Nyangani too.Ian 19:05, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Require advice on suitable sources

[edit]

{{helpme}} I have additional material on the geology of Nyangani mountain: "The dolerite sill and the sediments underlying it are probably part of the Umkondo Group" [1]. Would this be a reasonable source, or would it infringe "no original research?

It would be best to raise this question on the article discussion page to see what other editors familiar with the article topic think. You might also want to raise the discussion at WikiProject Geology as they are very familiar with the general topic and can offer more expert feedback. Cheers!
